Overview

The Skill Builder: Revolvers course is designed to be a fun, friendly, fast-paced way to enhance your revolver shooting foundational skills. Whether you’ve recently purchased a revolver, or it has been a while since you have had any training, our Skill Builder: Revolvers is great place learn and refine your revolver fundamentals.

Experience Requirements

Must have successfully completed Handgun 102 or equivalent before you attend Skill Builder: Revolvers. The student MUST know and be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun.

Open to all. Background checks are required, unless the student has a permit to carry from his/her state of residency or is a sworn law enforcement officer, corrections officer, private licensed security, or US Military personnel.

Course Outline

Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:

• Demonstrate the safe use and handling of a Revolver.
• Draw from and recover to a holster.
• Demonstrate foundational shooting techniques.
• Safely and efficiently load, reload, and unload a Revolver.
• Safely and efficiently hit a target with the dominant hand only.

Equipment List

• STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN REVOLVER
  • Major caliber 9MM, 38spl or .357 magnum preferred
• STUDENTS MUST PROVIDE 250 ROUNDS FOR THEIR REVOLVER
• Dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster
• Pouch for Speed Loaders or Moon Clips
• Minimum of two Speed loaders, full Moon Clips or Speed Strips
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Clothing suitable for training in any weather
• Hydration system
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Recommend electronic hearing protection or earmuffs and earplugs
• Tuition includes free loan of safety glasses and hearing protection at the Epping, NH location
