Overview
This one-hour, interactive seminar teaches attendees how to safely draw from an outside the waist holster and deliver the first shot at a high rate of speed.
Experience Requirements
Holster Certification or Handgun 103. Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training.
Course Outline
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify safety concerns when drawing from the holster.
- Duplicate an efficient draw at a safe speed.
Equipment List
- Quality functional semi-automatic pistol in common caliber 9mm- .45ACP compact or full size only (semi-auto center fire pistols only - revolvers or .22 caliber pistols are not allowed)
- 3 Magazines minimum
- Belt mounted, dominant side, outside the waistband holster
- Magazine pouches
- Clothing suitable for training (pants must have belt loops)
- Sturdy belt at least 1.5" wide
- Wraparound eyewear with polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription
- Electronic hearing protection, earmuffs, or earplugs
Ammo
Approximately 50 rounds pistol. Ammunition is available for purchase at the SIG SAUER Experience Center.
