Hosted by Madison Pope of Blue and Green Concepts, this seminar teaches beginners the basic principles to effectively escape and evade a predator.

About the Organization:
Blue and Green Concepts is a government contracting company with over 25 years of experience. Blue and Green takes proactive measures to combat human trafficking. If they teach you how to survive and escape a human trafficking scenario, then you can be your own first responder. Blue and Green provides consistent open enrollment, counter trafficking courses and courses alongside local law enforcement agencies (for the community and for their officers).
 

About Your Instructor:
Madison Pope received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a minor in psychology. She has 19 years of martial arts experience, which allowed her to receive her Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt in 2022. Madison has volunteered her time instructing self-defense seminars for men, women, and children. She is the youngest person to instruct the special operations community. Inside of the USASOC community she created and instructed Low Visibility Applications courses and applied these skills working as a surveillance technician. She has been an instructor for 8 years.

Course Outline

• Proper techniques to avoid and survive a nefarious encounter
• Principles to effectively escape and evade a predator:
  • Proper footwork
  • Controlling distance
  • Controlling grips
  • Surviving strikes
  • Escaping the clinch
  • Ground based movements back to standing
     

Equipment List

• Wear everyday athletic clothing
• Remove all jewelry
• Water bottle

This course is restricted to female participants only.
 

To get the most out of this course, you'll be practicing in pairs. If you're more comfortable working with someone you know, we encourage you to sign up with a friend or family member.
