Overview

This streamlined course strengthens pistol handling fundamentals while incorporating multi‑target engagement to reinforce efficient movement, visual discipline, and threat prioritization. Officers will be challenged to maintain control and accuracy as cognitive demands increase, reinforcing habits that translate directly to operational environments.

This course is designed for law enforcement, military, and credentialed armed professionals. 

Course Outline

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Apply effective vision-led transition techniques, demonstrating the ability to shift attentional focus
• Execute precise shot placement on multiple targets at various distances and configurations while maintaining an appropriate aiming process based on target difficulty
• Demonstrate decision-making and self-assessment skills by understanding individual capability in varied contexts
• Perform timed multi-target engagement sequences that integrate target transitions with movement, body positioning techniques, and accountability to develop speed and accuracy under pressure

Equipment List

• Duty pistol in one of the following calibers: 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP 
• 3 magazines minimum 
• Belt-mounted, dominant side concealment holster or duty rig 
• Magazine pouches 
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide 
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning 
• Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training in any weather (unless training in duty uniform) 
• Hydration system 
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses 
• Earmuffs and earplugs 
• Optional items:
  • Concealment jacket or vest
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Hat with a brim

• Estimated round count: 350 rounds pistol
• For Epping, NH courses, non-toxic, non-jacketed FRANGIBLE ammunition may be required - call for clarification
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping and New Smyrna Beach facilities only
