SWAT II - Advanced SWAT Operator (40 Hours)

Overview

This fast-paced program will cover HRT fundamentals of room clearing, tubular assaults, distraction device deployment, mechanical breaching, planning, execution and hostage holding area procedures. The primary options for hostage rescue will include strong hold options, open air options (sniper), and mobile options (vehicle).

Experience Requirements

This training course is specifically designed for experienced agency tactical team members. An expert proficiency level and working knowledge with the carbine and pistol are required to attend. The student must also be free of any physical ailment that would limit their participation in events that require running, climbing and carry 45lbs for extended periods. Please see the Required Equipment section for student responsibilities.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Comprehend the core differences of HRT vs High Risk Warrant
• Conduct team movements
• Employ surgical firearms skills
• Identify strong hold options
• Perform stealth to contact
• Apply rapid breaching methods
• Assess open air options
• Contain the mobile option
• Conduct vehicle assaults
• Complete tubular assaults
• Implement tactical movement under NVGs

• Semi-automatic pistol with 3 magazines
• Semi-automatic rifle with 3 magazines, optic and weapons light
• Ballistic helmet that can mount NVGs (provided by SSA if needed)

• Estimated round count:
  • 300 rounds pistol
  • 300 rounds rifle
  • 200 rounds 5.56mm marking cartridges (UTM / SIM / FX Brand - FOF with Bolts)
    • Law Enforcement course participants – Due to a recent ATF ruling, we are unable to supply UTM munitions for Law Enforcement courses. Participants are now responsible for sourcing their own UTM munitions. We continue to offer full support for rifle conversions. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate these regulatory changes.
