World class competitive shooters all have one thing in common: they never stop refining their skills. The Shooting Sooner Series of courses is specifically designed to enhance students’ ability to engage targets rapidly and accurately by focusing on increasing efficiencies. Part I of this series emphasizes breaking down the fundamentals, refining techniques, and applying strategies that focus on economy of motion. Students will isolate and refine the foundational skills needed to be successful within the sport of USPSA.
Handgun 103 (or equivalent) or have a USPSA classification before enrolling in Shooting Sooner I. The student MUST be able to demonstrate how to safely load, fire, and unload a handgun. Open to all. Background checks are required, unless the student has a permit to carry from his/her state of residency or is a sworn law enforcement officer, corrections officer, private licensed security, or US Military personnel. Experience with a shot timer preferred.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
