This comprehensive one-day class begins the entry level precision scoped rifle shooter’s journey down to a practical understanding of precision rifle magnified optics and developing a high level of competence for making consumer choices. This class introduces and explains common terminology and nomenclature relative to scopes. Some common questions like - “How does a scope really work?” “What is better, Mils or MOA?” “Why are some scopes made with one-inch main tubes and why are some 30 or 34mm?” “Will a larger objective lens make my view brighter?”- are answered. Tips to choosing which scope rings/mounts are presented along with the opportunity to see a scoped mounted, leveled, and torqued.
This course is intended to be Step 1 in a multi-step series relative to shooting development in Precision Scoped Rifle (PSR) Series. Therefore, no prerequisite exists for taking this class.
