Scenario Based Training (8 Hours)

Overview

Students will use actual firearms that have been converted to fire paint marking ammunition only. Students will approach the scenarios in a crawl, walk, run manner and will be thoroughly tested in mindset, situational awareness, and decision making capabilities. Students will experience real life problems around vehicles, buildings, and open areas and be forced to make decisions. A review of the students' performance will help emphasize sound tactics and application of the most safe and modern techniques.

Experience Requirements

Handgun 104* or it's equivalent is required prior to taking this course.

*Students who successfully completed the 2-day course 'Handgun 104: Introduction to Defensive Handgun Skills' prior to February 2024 will have fulfilled the prerequisites necessary to enroll in any courses that require successful completion of either the 1-day 'Handgun 104: Advanced Handgun Skills' or the 1-day 'Introduction to Defensive Handgun Skills' course.

Course Outline

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Summarize New Hampshire RSA 627:4-9
• Develop personal decision-making capabilities
• Gain insight intro personal mindset while cultivating situational awareness
• Apply the use of flashlights techniques in appropriate scenarios
• Appropriately utilize cover & concealment
• Demonstrate movement best practices around corners, vehicles, and through hallways
• Administer safe firearm handling in scenarios
• Use effect communication during scenarios

Equipment List

• Clothing sufficient to cover all exposed skin (Long sleeve shirt/sweatshirt and long pants)
• Groin protection (generic outer groin protection is available)
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5" wide
• Clothing suitable for training in applicable weather conditions
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Small hand held tactical style flashlight

Recommended round count:

• 150 rounds pistol UTM / SIM / FX Brand - FOF with Bolts (provided by SIG SAUER Academy)

Notes

Each participant will be provided with appropriate safety equipment, converted firearms, and marking cartridges.
