Overview

Designed to help law enforcement officers improve their pistol handling skills and qualification scores, this all range time, no frills course offers intensive hands-on training and pistol drills to maximize accuracy, speed, and performance.

Law enforcement, military, and credentialed armed professionals only. Call for clarification.

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.

Course Outline

• Application of marksmanship fundamentals
• Balancing speed and accuracy
• Perform single hand techniques 
• Perform moving then shooting as well as shooting while moving drills
• Application of malfunction techniques 
• Application of reload techniques

In order to receive a certificate of completion, students will be required to demonstrate proper safe gun handling of a pistol in any environment through attending 8 hours of training. Students will demonstrate proper safe gun handling though application of the fundamentals of shooting during challenging performance and scenario-based training drills.
 

Equipment List

• Duty pistol in one of the following calibers: 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP
• 3 magazines minimum
• Belt mounted, dominant side concealment holster or duty rig
• Magazine pouches
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training in any weather (unless training in duty uniform)
• Hydration system
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Earmuffs and earplugs
• Optional items: Concealment jacket or vest, sunscreen, bug spray, hat with a brim

Ammo

• Estimated round count: 400 rounds pistol
• For Epping, NH courses, non-toxic, non-jacketed FRANGIBLE ammunition may be required - call for clarification
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping, New Smyrna Beach, and Colorado Springs facilities only
