Overview

This course is designed for the experienced law enforcement officer that would like to increase their skill set beyond the typical annual training. Instructors with extensive law enforcement experience will push the students’ boundaries with efficiency, speed, and distances well beyond the typical police qualification courses. As well, students will be introduced to performance-based training methods for improving and developing their own skillsets that will facilitate the recording of their own shooter math data.

This course is designed for law enforcement, military, and credentialed armed professionals.

Course Outline

At the conclusion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understand and use performance-based training 
• Balance speed and accuracy
• Effectively hit targets beyond commonly accepted pistol ranges
• Apply move, stop, and shoot more efficiently and accurately 
• Improve efficiency, accuracy, and speed while moving and shooting
• Increase efficiency, accuracy, and speed when engaging multiple targets 
• Effectively use a shot timer during training

Equipment List

• Duty pistol in one of the following calibers: 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP
• 3 magazines minimum
• Belt-mounted, dominant side concealment holster or duty rig
• Magazine pouches
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training in any weather (unless training in duty uniform)
• Hydration system
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Earmuffs and earplugs
• Optional items:
  • Concealment jacket or vest
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Hat with a brim

Ammo

• Estimated round count: 450 rounds pistol
• For Epping, NH courses, non-toxic, non-jacketed FRANGIBLE ammunition may be required - call for clarification
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping and New Smyrna Beach facilities only
