Overview

Designed with working officers in mind, this no‑nonsense course strengthens pistol handling fundamentals while integrating purposeful movement. Officers will be challenged to maintain control, accuracy, and awareness as they move, reinforcing skills that matter when conditions are dynamic and time is critical. The course strips away distractions and focuses on building confidence, consistency, and competence where it counts.

This course is designed for law enforcement, military, and credentialed armed professionals.

Course Outline

After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Demonstrate ability in drawing and engaging targets while moving to, from, and around cover
• Execute effective shooting techniques while moving in multiple directions 
• Apply context, skill, and terrain-based decision-making 
• Perform integrated draw-and-movement responses 

Equipment List

• Duty pistol in one of the following calibers: 9MM, .357SIG, .40S&W, or .45ACP
• 3 magazines minimum
• Belt-mounted, dominant side concealment holster or duty rig
• Magazine pouches
• Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide
• Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning
• Casual, comfortable civilian clothing suitable for training in any weather (unless training in duty uniform)
• Hydration system
• Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses
• Earmuffs and earplugs
• Optional items:
  • Concealment jacket or vest
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Hat with a brim

Ammo

• Estimated round count: 450 rounds pistol
• For Epping, NH courses, non-toxic, non-jacketed FRANGIBLE ammunition may be required - call for clarification
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping and New Smyrna Beach facilities only
