Overview

This course is designed to enhance your carbine shooting performance at various distances out to 300 yards. Drills are built around the use of magnified optics i.e., 3 power magnifiers in conjunction with red dot sights, ACOG sights, or variable powered optics, 1- 4, 1-6, & 1-8. This is a busy course with little down time.

Experience Requirements

This is an intermediate level class. Completion of Rifle 103 or an equivalent 2-day rifle course required. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, alternate positions, and foundational marksmanship skills. This is a physically demanding course.
 
Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training. Please ensure you have read through the class description and fully understand our prerequisites before registering.

Course Outline

• Understand what equipment enhances the capability of the carbine out to 300 yards.
• Establish an acceptable accuracy out to 300 yards.
• Enhance accuracy with different shooting positions.
• Determine the different off sets from 50 to 300 yards.
• Enhance shooting skills with performance-based training.

• Carbine (Absolutely NO pistol braces and NO sub guns)
• 3 magazines
• Optic recommended: 3x magnifier, ACOG, 1-4, 1-6, or 1-8 variable powered sight
• Knee pads
• Elbow pads
• Bipod
• Eye and ear protection
• Hydration

Tuition includes free loan of firearms, holsters, safety glasses and hearing protection at the Epping, NH, New Smyrna Beach, FL, and Colorado Springs, CO locations.

Ammo

• Estimated round count: 300 rounds rifle
• Lead core ammunition to be used on steel only
• No green/brown tip, armor piercing, or surrogate rounds to be used on steel at any time
• Ammunition is available for purchase from the Epping, New Smyrna Beach, and Colorado Springs facilities only
