Designed to build upon the foundational skills learned in the Executive Protection Operations Course, this one-day skill builder focuses on the emergency actions needed during attacks on the Principal while conducting an EP mission. This fast-paced course puts the students in scenarios specifically based on EP emergency operations in low to medium risk situations using Non-Lethal Training Ammunition only (NLTA). Students will work through attacks on the Principal while conducting movements on foot and in a motorcade. This is a physically and mentally demanding course requiring maximum student participation. Students should prepare accordingly.
Experience Requirements
This is an advanced level class. Successful completion of the SIG SAUER Academy Executive Protection Operations Course is required to attend this skill builder. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, foundational marksmanship skills, and working from a holster. This is a physically demanding course.
Course Outline
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
Apply Safe Gun Handling in any environment
Discuss the use of force in the protective environment
Refresh formations and techniques of the protective detail
Select and utilize cover and concealment with a principal
Protection specific scenarios (both foot and vehicle) using a NLTA semi-automatic handgun

Dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster
Holster Requirements:
Must completely support the pistol.
Must not collapse once drawn.
Must fit properly to the belt.
When holstered, the trigger guard must be completely covered.
Must be oriented in a safe direction for drawing.
“Trigger Finger” style retention devices are not permitted.
Must be able to draw and holster one-handed; Support hand cannot be utilized.
Holster compliance is at the discretion of the Instructor. If a holster is deemed to not comply with safety requirements, a loaner SIG SAUER pistol and/or appropriate holster will be provided.
