Overview

During this course students will be introduced to the skills necessary to immobilize a vehicle and affect either a suspect apprehension or hostage rescue. Students will also become familiar with operational concerns and variables surrounding critical incidents on certain types of buses. In addition, open air solutions will be explored along with a terminal ballistics demonstration.

Course Outline

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:

Utilize the Vehicle Incident Planning Matrix
Conduct proper mission planning
Execute stationary and mobile vehicle interdiction
Display suspect apprehension techniques
Construct the framework for hostage rescue and critical incidents on buses
Apply sniper initiated and open-air solutions
Assess terminal ballistic considerations
