Nick currently serves as a Senior Officer on a full time Canadian SWAT team that conducts over 500 operations a year. A SWAT trainer, Nick is a Master Firearms Instructor, Sniper Instructor and the founder of his unit’s tactical high-angle capability. In 2011, he deployed for a one-year close protection mission to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Prior to joining SWAT, Nick served in the Special Operations Division, where he gained substantial experience conducting undercover operations. He also held positions in the Organized Crime Division, investigating narcotics, vice, smuggling and other criminal activities.
Nick is a former Reserve Infantry Sergeant, with 29 years of full and part time service. His numerous assignments include overseas NATO and UN deployments. A Small Arms Instructor, he has coached rifle and pistol teams for local, national and international small arms competitions. Nick is a plank owner of the Canadian PSYOPS Capability, where he served 5 years as a Target Audience Analyst.
Nick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology, as well as a Graduate Degree in Risk Management.
He is an active member of several professional organizations such as the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA), International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI), American Sniper Association (ASA) and International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
